Road Trip 2012: Sunday 9/30

0 miles and still camped in Mike and Lyndsay's driveway.

Today was a leisurely Sunday in Boise.  Boy, I am really starting to like this city for a number of reasons;  it's a college town, there are all kinds of parks and green space along the Boise and Snake Rivers, the city is very bike and dog friendly, the weather is nice, and there are lots of things to do.

The Bodies Revealed traveling exhibition is showing in Boise at the Discovery Center of Idaho, so we went to that first thing this morning.  In fact, we were the first ones there.  It was fascinating!!  Cameras were not allowed, so no pictures.  For anyone interested in human anatomy the exhibit is a must see.

After the exhibit, we reserved a place in line at a popular local breakfast bistro called Goldy's.  There was an hour wait, so we went to a nearby park and people watched.  It was a beautiful warm and sunny morning.  By the way, the breakfast was excellent and well worth the wait.

With no real plan for the afternoon, we took the dogs to Barber Park.  The park borders the Boise River and is a popular put in for floating and tubing.  Zoey got some great exercise.  The water wasn't deep enough to swim, but wading against a swift current got her tired out.

We ended the day watching football on TV.  It was a thoroughly relaxing day.  Monday I head out for Bickleton, Washington to meet another former student from Potsdam High School, Katie Leuthauser.....
