July 11 - 14: Lake Placid/Whiteface Mtn. KOA, Wilmington, NY
We made another relaxing 4 day trip to Whiteface in July. Sue and Al rented a cabin again, and Christl joined us as well. We have a very nice 4 days, and the weather even cooperated. However, this may well be our last trip to this campground ever. So sad, but KOA is closing this campground and opening another one in nearby Wilmington. KOA purchased the former North Pole Campground, which in our opinion is not nearly as nice at the current one near Whiteface Mountain. But corporate thinks differently, so we'll see what happens. 😕
