Road Trip 2012: Thursday 9/13

Just hanging out, that's what I did today.  It was strictly a rest and catchup day.  We sat around and talked big and acted smart.  Later in the day we met Dave's brother Crow (that's his nickname) at a nearby lake to let the dogs swim and run.

Dave has a great sense of humor and I have a great time teasing him about his technology (phone and computer) issues.  We also had some great discussions about environmental concerns, both local and worldly.  Dave and Ann are very resourceful people who have a huge garden, preserve much of their own food, and incorporate solar power into their lifestyle.

They are also working artists.  Dave does sculpture while Ann is a painter.  They have a website at: http://www.artsbywrights.com/

That's it for today.  Well, not quite.  If you live in Wisconsin, then you probably are a Greenbay Packers football fan.  The Packers and the nearby Chicago Bears had a Thursday night game on national TV.  So we hit a sports bar to watch the game.  Big screen TV, fans dressed in Packer colors, and lots of cheering.  To top it off, the Packers won.  What great fun.  The only problem is that I didn't get to bed until midnight, about three hours past my usual time.  Oh well.

Friday we are off to an art show in Wasau...........
